IRVINE, Calif. — January 26, 2016

Enevate Recognized as Up-and-Coming Private Company in Clean Technology

Enevate Corporation, a technology leader in silicon lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, today announced it was named by the Cleantech Group in its 2015 Global Cleantech 100 Ones to Watch list.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, Enevate has developed advanced Li-ion batteries based on new materials and cell designs with significantly faster charging and much higher energy density in thinner and lighter form factors than current conventional Li-ion batteries. Enevate’s innovative silicon-dominant Li-ion batteries based on HD-Energy® Technology deliver an additional 35-50 percent runtime in smartphones, and their ultrafast charging has been demonstrated to provide a full charge in 15 minutes and a 50 percent charge in just over five minutes.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Cleantech Group for the advancements we have made in improving rechargeable battery technology,” said Jarvis Tou, Executive Vice President for Marketing and Products at Enevate Corporation. “Our team is committed to delivering the innovation required to supply the advanced energy storage technology to meet the needs of the next generation.”

This year, a record number of nominations for the annual Global Cleantech 100 list were received; Enevate Corporation was one of 6,900 distinct companies from 60 countries who were weighted, scored, and reviewed by Cleantech Group’s Expert Panel. The Panel also identified the 100 Ones to Watch which highlights a group of upcoming companies catching the eye of leading players in the industry. These are companies with strong support among key corporations, investors, and analysts within the Cleantech Group’s Expert Panel. The Expert Panel consists of an influential group of 100 industry leaders who determine the annual Global Cleantech 100 list. To qualify for the list, companies must be independent, for-profit, clean technology companies that are not listed on any major stock exchange.
