Remembering the amazing life of Dr. John Goodenough

Irvine, California — June 26, 2023

John Goodenough has served as a technical advisor for Enevate for 10 years. Over his remarkable 100 year and 11 month life, he made contributions to the semiconductor field (critical to development of RAM), magnetism (the Goodenough-Kanamori rule was developed by him), and, of course, batteries.

He received the Nobel Prize recognizing his contributions to lithium ion batteries. Not only has he shaped the entire technology landscape, he acted as a role model for everyone in the technical fields.

He will be remembered not just for his amazing contributions but for his amazing personality. His high-pitched laugh was a laugh that brought a smile to anyone and could be heard by anyone on the same floor as him. We will miss him greatly!

Enevate thanks him for being a big believer in our team and technology and being an advisor to us. Enevate has benefited greatly from knowing him. We bid him a fond farewell.
