Press Release: Enevate Awarded ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate

IRVINE, Calif. — April 26, 2016

Certification is a key milestone to move HD-Energy® technology to production

(Business Wire) – Enevate Corporation, a technology leader in silicon lithium-ion (Li-on) batteries, proudly announces it has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certificate for its innovative silicon-dominant anode production process.

Enevate’s HD-Energy® technology for Li-ion batteries using silicon-dominant anodes has demonstrated ultrafast charging to provide a full charge in 15 minutes or a 50 percent charge in just over five minutes.  Combined with the ultrafast charge capability, Enevate’s HD-Energy technology also delivers up to 25 percent higher capacity for every day use, resulting in an additional 35-50 percent runtime in mobile devices.

“We are extremely proud of the team and their efforts to attain the ISO 9001:2008 certification,” said Todd Tatar, Enevate’s Vice President of Operations & Quality. “This award validates Enevate’s efforts to achieve our goal to make quality a key part of our company.”

The ISO 9001:2008 certification sets criteria for an organization’s quality management system with the goal to enhance customer satisfaction, including establishing processes for continuous improvement, and the assurance of conformity to customer and regulatory requirements, and is a requirement for manufacturing Li-ion batteries for the US smartphone market.

“This quality certification of our anode manufacturing process  is another key milestone as we move our HD-Energy technology into production” stated Brian Wong, Enevate CEO. “We are committed to continuous technology innovation and high quality in the processes we use to deliver performance and quality to our customers.

The extensive ISO 9001:2008 certification and audit process was conducted by the British Standards Institution (BSI). The approval covers the innovative silicon-dominant anode production process, which is the core of Enevate’s Li-ion battery technology.  Enevate cell and pack assembly partners are also ISO 9001:2008 certified.

“Certification to ISO 9001 indicates a dedication to consistently provide customers with quality products.  Enevate is to be congratulated on its achievement,” stated Todd VanderVen, President, BSI Americas.
